CVS / Pharmacy Reviews

What is it like working at CVS / Pharmacy?

Get Experience and Leave.
Pharmacy Technician:
Pros: The colleagues and patients are good part of the job.
Cons: Your work is crazy from the time start to time to leave.
Corporate America.
Retail Store Manager:
Pros: Pharmacy forward oriented service programs are state of the art and inventive and developed toward profit but with obvious care first service.
Cons: Corporate has no clue of the actual work conditions in the stores. Leaving stores in perilous conditions of employee safety and moral. Store managers are under utilized for their skills because of an corporate office intent on program after program to micro manage every facet of the store and employee function. Literally a 40 hour week just conducting, completing and documenting/reporting results.
Corporate, Flexible Hours, 401k Match.
Pharmacy Technician, Lead:
Pros: My team.
Cons: Rude, ungrateful customers.
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPHT):
Pros: Satisfied Patients; Atmosphere.
Cons: Corporate Shenanigans.
If you want to work in retail, do not work here.
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPHT):
Pros: The customers are great, but the management sucks.
Cons: Everything about working here sucks.
Mediocre.
Pharmacist:
Pros: The pay.
Cons: Hours, upper management, employee talent pool / training, sloppy standards.
Wish it was still target.
Pharmacy Technician:
Pros: Nothing at all. Wish it was still target. With the take over its like cvs is trying to force out all of us previous employees of target.
Cons: After take over of target I got hired on by cvs. Kept my pay and was told I qualified for benefits. However when enrollment came around I was given the run around saying I dont work enough hours to qualify. When you calculate my average hours per week I got 33 hours but the is still not good enough according to them when all their information clearly lists 30 hours needed to qualify. Horrible company to work for.
