Builders Firstsource, Inc. Reviews
What is it like working at Builders Firstsource, Inc.?
Very chaotic and disorganized.
Field Service Representative in Rapid City:
Pros: The freedom and chance to worm hard and feel fulfilled.
Cons: The pay, the lack of direction, the cold and the general lack of forethought put into my coworkers work.
Plant Manager, Manufacturing in Jacksonville:
BFS is a great company to work for. They have great benefits as well as great pay. The leadership is strong and cares about all the employees. They do a good job of training and in most cases will hire with little to no experience.
Can and is almost yearly around busy work 50 hour weeks and overworked.
Production Team leader in Spokane:
Pros: The people i work with and the challenge to turn a profit with everybody's interest and safety.
Cons: Turnout rate and laziness at times makes me have to work harder. Under appreciation from shifts. Long hard hours.
Can be physicaly over bearing at times, must adapt to outdoor elements outside all day, and long hours.
Builder in Spokane:
Pros: People i work with and the challenge to turn profits and well being every day with positive outlook.
Cons: Can and is almost yearly around busy and turnout rate is horrible leaving you working harder. Reasons not my place.
Unfair.
Forklift Operator in Phillipsburg:
Pros: Management does not notice the hard work that employees do because the person who gives raises works in different building, and relies totally on what supervisor tells them. Relationship between management and employees is nonexistent. There are unsafe environments and most of all equipment is outdated and hazardous. Safety meetings are unproductive if they happen at all.
Cons: Hard work goes unnoticed.
Needs work and more pay.
Heavy / Tractor-Trailer Truck Driver in Fayetteville:
Pros: That they trust me and my decision making.
Cons: The pay is low i mean below the standards especially for someone like myself that has 15 years in the field...
Installation Technician:
It was a slow start and we are still trying to get some things figured out for this new position. I am disappointed though because the manager promised a vehicle dedicated to installation/service but that isn't going to happen for a quite a while and I still need tools that haven't been approved.
