What is it like working at Brookdale Living Communities, Inc.?
It feels like I have gained some family because I do not have my mother father or my grandparents. It makes me happy when they are happy.
Activities Director in Nashville:
Pros: It makes me happy when my folks are smiling and calling me by name.
Cons: When someone passes away and we see children and family that have never come to visit while they’ve been alive. It’s hard to see them come in crying when I’ve never met them before.
It is fulfilling but the pay is not efficient and others are paid more for the same job and been there less time then mysrlf.
Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) in Leesburg:
Pros: Making residents comfortable
Cons: Need more team work. On some nights. Others want certain residents and expect you to take care of residents they dont want
Very stressful with unreasonable expectations.

Pros: Fairly free to choose how you want to treat
Cons: Management, patient care
Fulfilling Work!
Health/Wellness Coordinator in Warwick:
Pros: The interaction with the residents on a daily basis.
Cons: I am doing everything that the Wellness Director does, in a memory care unit, but I can't have a director title or pay, and I'm not salaried. Management can micro-manage at times, which is frustrating.
Maintenance Assistant in Colorado Springs:
Steady work but well below the national pay scale large company offers transfers some movement within to upward mobility. Large chain that is nationally known state to state all but Alabama and Maine. Lots of turnover in lower positions however good company for residents well maintained buildings.
Unit Manager:
Allyways short on supplies. Always short staffed everything a crisis administration will cut staff and them wonder why people dont want to wrk there pay is low bennfits are ok im looking for another job.
Occupational Therapist (OT):
PROS: Great pay, flexible start/ end times, nice to be able to move around. CONS: high expectations at times, good benefits disorganized communication at times, nursing staff in facilities can be rude.
