Board of County Commissioners Reviews

What is it like working at Board of County Commissioners?

Extremely Satisfied.
Fire Chief in Sebring:
Pros: Freedom to make decision
Cons: Budget does not allow the department to reach full potential
I don't understand this request.
Adult Literacy, Remedial Education, Ged Teacher / Instructor in Pensacola:
Pros: I actually enjoy teaching th einmates at the county jail.
Cons: My job was made into a vendor (bid) job and I wish it was a real job with benefits, earned leave time, and retirement options.
It has fair benefits.
Administrative / Office Manager in Savannah:
Pros: Working close to home.
Cons: Pay increases are not often. County Retirement is based on age instead of years of service - whereas State Retirement is based on the number of years.
Contract Specialist in Crestview:
Everyone is very nice but the work is very unorganized and training is poor. The county is more reactive than proactive and seems to resist change. Pay is very low and the workload is very high. Benefits are expensive. The best part of the job is the people you will work with.
Work more for less.
Recreation Manager in Jupiter:
Pros: The people I work with and the participants in the programs
Cons: The salary and changing the policy when it fits someone else needs and the purchasing process
