Bio-Rad Laboratories Inc Reviews
What is it like working at Bio-Rad Laboratories Inc?
Not Equitably Paid and Title does Not Match Responsibilities.
Data Analyst in San Francisco:
Pros: CEO is down to earth, good benefits, and company party.
Cons: Paid Admin Salary while taking on Global Supply Chain Project Management Responsibilities...insane amount of stress falls into one person's shoulders (mine). Unappreciated for huge amount of work I manage, and extra 20 hrs a week I work. Severely under paid.
Happily Underpaid.
Senior Research Scientist, Biotechnology in Newark:
Pros: I have the freedom to design my own experiments, analyze and present the data with high-level guidance from management.
Cons: Bio-Rad pays under market wages.
Challenging and rewarding work helping users.
Senior Business Analyst in Cleveland:
Pros: Freedom to pursue my own ideas as long as they support the company's goals and strategy.
Cons: Tough to answer because I have nothing bad or even constructive criticism. I loved my company and my work.
Wearer of Many Hats.
Senior Research Scientist, Biotechnology in Pleasanton:
Pros: That we are churning out products that drive the successful financial well-being of the company as well as making the world a better place. The small start up feel. The well-funded research.
Cons: The politics and processes.
Research Scientist, Biotechnology in Pleasanton:
The Digital Biology Group of Bio-Rad Laboratories in Pleasanton is developing cutting edge ddPCR and NGS technology. It is a lot of fun being part of this revolution. There are some growing pains as we evolve, requiring significant adaptation by employees. Employee retention is low and Bio-Rad is not industry competitive in pay. If you want to work here, you have to love what you do! There are opportunities to learn a lot here and we move at a fast pace, which I prefer to some of the long bureaucratic processes at other companies.
