Belk, Inc. Reviews
What is it like working at Belk, Inc.?
Good job but low pay.
PC Maintenance Technician in Little Rock:
Pros: Coming from a job in the oil industry this job is totally stress free in comparison. Plenty of slack time too. Company provides work truck and laptop, and pays for lunch a few days a week based on hours worked. Often get 3 day weekends due to hours restrictions. Hands off management/semi self directed.
Cons: I can't make enough money at 40 hours a week to live in Little Rock, AR comfortably, and Arkansas is one of the cheapest in terms of cost of living. Being on call makes getting a second job problematic. Health insurance with United Healthcare is less than worthless, will decline it on upcoming open enrollment. No advancement opportunities and 2% raise(basically pay cut at inflation rate).
Organize and maintain shoe stock and display tables.
Stock Clerk, Retail in Knoxville:
Pros: I work independently most of the time , and I am free to be creative
Cons: I’m jit paid enough for the extra work I do
Too many jobs not enough paychecks.
Beauty Advisor in Augusta:
Pros: My regular customers and when I actually get to do MY JOB!!
Cons: Being expected to work 5 or 6 departments but only getting commission for one.
It’s good, the best retail job you can get, they are not transparent about pay, they raise the minimum pay without telling you so if you were hired above the previous minimum, you won’t get bumped.
Sales Associate in Paris:
Pros: It’s an easy job and I am good at it.
Cons: The HR system has one person for a handful of jobs so there is not a reliable form of voicing an opinion. And no one appreciates the work I do especially since I am the top performer for my store.
Get ready for a fantastic ride.
Human Resources (HR) Manager in Conway:
Pros: The opportunity to share my ideas and implement them.
Cons: No options for flexible schedule / flex work from home.
You're the Confidence Giver.
Beauty Advisor in Cookeville:
Pros: The people who work here and the interaction with most customers
Cons: Only get schedule a week in advance. The new software, Reflexis, is ridiculously ineffective.
I love working here and belk is like family to me.
Housekeeper in Irmo:
Pros: I enjoy cleaning and meeting awsome people.
Cons: Well thing need to improve with the other housekeepers staff they are extremely unorganized dont care about their job and leave me to do their job and the manager is to busy to set them straight when things can get overwhelming when im have having to pick up there slack and the mangers slack.
