Athenahealth, Inc. Reviews

What is it like working at Athenahealth, Inc.?

Complex, but appreciated and rewarding.
Project Manager, (Unspecified Type / General) in Princeton:
Pros: I'm part of a smaller division within athenahealth. I work closely with nearly every member of my division. Everyone is collaborative and willing to work to their highest ability.
Cons: Schedules are often the biggest challenge. My main role is coordinating stakeholders for successful product launches. However, some of the stakeholders are directors or managers of teams, which makes their schedules very hard to navigate in conjunction with other stakeholders. We need to get better about designating other members of teams to spread the ownership and reduce bottlenecks.
Challenging to prioritize the work that needs to get done.
Associate Product Manager in Cambridge:
Pros: I see the value in the work being done
Cons: It’s hard to measure the impact of what you do
Mundane.
Senior Software Engineer in Bangalore:
Pros: Flexible and open mindedness towards ideas while solving engineering problems
Cons: - Not being open when it comes to higher management - Offshore employees not treated as equals to Onsite employees
Senior Systems Engineer:
I love working for athena! Incredible company with incredible people. Still issues with gender/race/orientation diversity at upper levels of management, but lots of ERGs such as Women's Leadership Forum, athenaProud, & athena Parents.
Sr. Instructional Designer (Training & Development):
. It was a good place for me to take ownership and grow, and I helped to build the brand and the processes for my section of the department almost from the ground up. I appreciated the efforts that leadership put into trying to gather and implement employee feedback. But they did not do a good job with the lay offs in Oct 2017.
