Applied Materials Inc Reviews

What is it like working at Applied Materials Inc?

Don’t work here.
Manufacturing Engineer in Round Rock:
Pros: Nothing. Experience. They pay everyone like an intern or 50% less than competitors. Moral is rock bottom. Very unorganized.
Cons: Receiving 55% low class pay at a Fortune 500 company as an engineer. Then being asked to work 80 + hours for free. But also being told to adjust my own work load to hit 40 hours… so they don’t need to pay more and can claim I have the option to use the FTO.Lol If I were you I would turn their offers down. Apply somewhere else. You can’t afford to make this low of a salary in a place like Austin now.
Great Benefits.
Inventory Analyst in Austin:
Pros: Flexibility and freedom to solve problems my way.
Cons: Pay. Very rigorous HR policies around pay. If you come in entry, expect to have climb slowly, or go somewhere else for a pay jump.
Great place to work.
Manufacturing Technician in Austin:
Pros: The people
Cons: Working weekends
Very laid back but meet deadlines and safety.
Maintenance Technician in Salem:
Pros: Always learning something every day
Cons: Some days it’s overwhelming with equipment breaking and nobody reacts and resolves the issues in a timely manner
Crazy.
Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) in Sunnyvale:
Pros: nothing
Cons: Commuting
Challenging work on Critical Semi concepts/projects.
Senior Mechanical Engineer in Santa Clara:
Pros: Access to resources & Interesting work
Cons: Difficult managing customer relations both internally and externally
