American Transmission Company Reviews

What is it like working at American Transmission Company?

Senior Database Administrator (DBA):
It is a great company to work for. They have been beyond supportive and prepared for this pandemic. They have put the safety of their employees and the need to stay on point and working safely above all. They couldn't have done it better.
A Balanced Company With Opportunities to Improve.
Buyer in Waukesha:
Pros: Company has strong values and is big on open communication. ATC offers frequent dialogue with management and mentors which can helpful at times. I like that i feel part of a team that is focused continuous improvement; especially in areas that need them the most. There is also opportunities to grow your career at ATC.
Cons: Some people can be difficult to work with and aren't as passionate about working collaboratively for the common good. When there are grey areas, some work can be shifted around from person to person or department to departments. There is also a lot of meetings that can hinder productivity and do more harm than good. At ATC, a lot of it's business processes are manual in nature (within my role) and require a lot of time that takes away from more value-added aspects of the job. Automation of some of these tasks should be a goal to work towards. Fire fighting can be a daily chore within my role but to what extent is reasonable depends on the workload balancing.
