Slow yo innovate. Extremely risk adverse posture at every turn. They have hundreds of applications that are years old, sometimes even a decade or more. If you want a job where you can coast and not be challenged while enjoying good benefits and about 75% market pay, then this is the place for you.
Great people and learning, but can make much more elsewhere.
Senior Underwriter in Los Angeles:
Pros: I love the people and the learning opportunities
Cons: The systems are horrendous to work with and it's difficult to get things done when they need to go up the chain
Not as I thought this place to be.

Pros: It's open work culture. And the best manager
Cons: Bias treatment between teams by senior manager, being sidelined by other teams, no proper communication by senior management level about the company's direction, etc
Information Technology (IT) Director:
The projects were good in IT until this new administration came in 1.5 years ago. All strategic investment stopped and no new technology projects are being approved. So IT staff had to be slashed.
The new administration let go all of the previous leadership and hired in all new team with no transition from previous administration.
Pay and benefits were good but there have been no raises for past several years and promotions take 2-3 years for approval.
