American House Reviews

What is it like working at American House?

American House is a very friendly and safe place to work. When short staffed it could be very difficult.
Housekeeping Supervisor in Detroit:
Pros: The residents live me
Cons: Lack of staff
Not a Valued Member.
Maintenance Director in Lehigh Acres:
Pros: The residents in the community bring a wealth of knowledge and are amazingly caring.
Cons: There is a terrible lack of communication within the location's leadership. Following discussions of what was needed and how best to reach the goal, everything would change in whatever way ensured the "salaried" director was donating 60+hours a month of free service to the company. It would be nice if there were a straight up organized and coordinated goal for ALL hands to provide a world class living environment. Alas many of the leadership can't find their way out of their office to explore the building and become knowledgeable about its true operation. In a building where teamwork should be #1, it is unionized so much that no one assists others and the care of residents falters because of it.
Love the Job.
Life Enrichment Coordinator in Keene:
Pros: Working with wonderful residents and staff
Cons: Would like a bigger budget to provide more for the residents
