Ameren Corp Reviews
What is it like working at Ameren Corp?
Wonderful to work here!
Electrical Engineer in St. Louis:
Pros: I like that they value me and my contribution. The pay is great.
Cons: There could be more minorities working here.
Cyber Security Engineer in St. Louis:
The company is on a trajectory for the worse. The benefits and the workers are good. Unfortunately, the new management is making decisions without explanation and morale is lower than I have ever seen. Most technical workers are looking at other places and the only people that will remain are those that can't leave easily. The management talks as if they want to use the latest technology in the industry, but they refuse to pay the necessary price in money and labor that will enable the new technologies to work properly. The few people that understand the technologies are forced to work 10-15 hours of overtime a week with little to expect in recognition or reward. I would not recommend Ameren as a place to work for anyone that wants to make market level pay, wants work/life balance, or wants strong leadership with vision. This is the perfect place for people that want to sit around doing the same thing for years on end with hope to ever work with new technologies and/or processes.
