Amcor Reviews
What is it like working at Amcor?
We were once lost...
Maintenance Supervisor in Terre Haute:
Pros: I like the job, solving problems.
Cons: Less and less people doing the same amount of work.
Maintenance Technician in Chicago:
Great young , modern minded management team. This company is very safety focused, and for a mechanic with a very hands on job it’s a great culture. The pay is very competitive. The benefits are up to par with other large companies. They have many extra money earning programs in place. An example is a employee safety audit where if you complete it every six months you get an older xtra $500.00 bonus. Overall it’s been a pleasure to work here. I have bounced from five different companies in the past 6 or 7 years and this one has hands down been the best experience so far .
Busy.
Procurement Agent in Oshkosh:
Pros: That I am able to work on my own and I have a heavy workload that keeps me busy and interested
Cons: Understaffed and bad processes/errors that take away from more important things that I could be spending my time on
Supported work.
Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager in montijo:
Pros: This thematic (Environment and Health and Safety) are great values to Amcor.
Cons: Too big support structure (too heavy) and communication and alignment with CEO became very distorted
It's a Job that pays the bills.
Purchaser in Oshkosh:
Pros: The atmosphere and most of the people I work with.
Cons: I don't like that we are treated like a number versus a name. If you walk by someone in the hallway and they cannot even acknowledge you. This happens with upper management as well. They say they promote within, but do not. I cannot tell you how many times I have been told what a good job I do and I always get great reviews, but never good enough for any promotions or other. I feel bad for the folks working out in the plant areas, they are really struggling out there and no one listens to them. Disappointing.
Fast paced environment.
Operations Supervisor in Oshkosh:
Pros: Knowledgable employees and team environment
Cons: Employees have difficult time accepting the changes needed to make us cost effective.
NO BACK UP! Have to work on vacations, sexually harassed, and underpaid!
Administrative Coordinator in Hagerstown:
Pros: That I've been able to make contacts while in this position. Working with vendors and customers to ensure I have a job after Amcor.
Cons: When I was sexually harassed nothing was done about it until I went to upper management... several times! I have no back up and I have to work on vacations! The male coordinator was paid almost double what I was paid as well.
