Pros: Helping patients
Cons: The fact that I am severely underpaid and everyone above my direct manager treats us like vampire robots who are expected to be available 7am-7pm even if we’re not scheduled to work. We are expected to be experts in not only phlebotomy but registration as well, and if we make one minor mistake while registering you will hear about it instead of billing or core lab fixing it. You have to be completely perfect every time.
