Aimbridge Hospitality Reviews
What is it like working at Aimbridge Hospitality?
Rewarding but very long hours.
Front Office Manager in London:
Pros: Recruiting and helping my team to grow
Cons: Complex layers of management structure
I have a lot of opportunity to deal directly with all departments, maintain the building and property and the general manager is my direct boss. This has been the best part for me; being able to learn from him and even he from me.
Chief Engineer in Houston:
Pros: I have been able to learn and work in almost every deparment or job. I have been the night auditor, security, chief engineer, housekeeping, cook for our full, hot breakfast, customer relations and crisis management, having high standards and achieving them. I would like to be toward my goal of GM but even though I have excelled and received the Manager of the Year I am not sure if I am being fully supported.
Cons: Upper management and Corporate have too much control. Any decisions whether financial or even daily things are approved or not by Management that are sometimes unaware of the best thing for our hotel. They also have other hotels that it is obvious they give special treatment toward. I find this inappropriate. I also think since they are so large a company, they tend to keep the employees on the same playing field and don't really cultivate and promote and give the ones who are the best very much incentive to sustain what it takes to be on top.
I love our TEAM we work together well. Love my new GM! She is strict but fair.
Hotel, Motel, or Resort Desk Clerk in Tysons Corner:
Pros: Everything but if I had to choose it will be my housekeepers. I love my girls very much.
Cons: The pay is low and new comers make a dollar less than I do.
Not enough communication on changes on procedure. Embarassing..but the job us good.
Night Auditor in Port Arthur:
Pros: The guest
Cons: Lack of communacation..and retribution by management .
Little stressful.
Cook, Restaurant in Norman:
Pros: Flexible hours
Cons: Pay
Pay is extremely below most businesses and there is no incentive to do well and no raises based on merit or performance.
Buffet Host in Stevens Point:
Pros: That I can work alone and the discount
Cons: Definitely the low pay and failure to recognize exemplar employees.
Use good people skills for interacting with guest. Multitasking to keep buffer filled, hot, clean. Clean the kitchen lobby and kitchen. Toa food order.unload food order, deep clean kitchen after Breakfast. Restock food and products.
Restaurant Host/Hostess in Stevens Point:
Pros: My guests
Cons: The pay
