Academy Sports + Outdoors Reviews

What is it like working at Academy Sports + Outdoors?

Great place to work.
Retail Manager in Fayetteville:
Pros: Not sitting at a desk in a monkey suit.
Cons: The amount of pressure from above to let thieves walk out with anything.
Making a non livable wage and unfair place of work.
Inventory Control Specialist in Terre Haute:
Pros: Everything that involved inventory I love. I like dealing with numbers.
Cons: Manager is starting to nit pick on the littlest thing and is starting to write me up. Saying I'm making excuses and that I'm not doing work related objectives but in all reality I am. When I get written up for using the computer because the companies leave department contacts us threw personal email I get blamed for doing something personal even though the leave department for the company I work for is trying to contact me as I am them.
It’s been a blessing but expecting better opportunities.
Store Team Leader in Denham Springs:
Pros: I love the interacting with people and leading people
Cons: I don’t like how they often overlook your current skill sets
Sell more credit cards.
Cashier in Frisco:
Pros: The employee discount and my coworkers
Cons: The emphasis on credit card sales and the lack of communication
It’s a hard under payed job.
Receiving Worker in Wichita:
Pros: The ability to not be in one spot everyday
Cons: The constant make receiving team do everything
Assistant Manager in Lake Charles:
Thought this was a good company. Like you probably do as well. It’s horrible. I was an assistant at Walmart and the culture was way better. Team work was way better. Pay is about the same for managers between the two companies. I am sure upper management at both companies makes a. Difference in all opinions. However, in my opinion...it’s the corporate management that allows a store to fail. That store is failing.
Health betterment’s, zero disease.
Fitness Coach in Nashik:
Pros: Interacting and motivating my clients for health betterment.
Cons: Time runs faster.
