Abbvie, Inc Reviews

What is it like working at Abbvie, Inc?

Can be difficult/frustrating at times but overall fulfilling.
Chemical Process Engineer in Detroit:
Pros: Ample opportunity to learn and expand skills
Challenging opportunity to learn and develop.
Business Systems Analyst in Chicago:
Pros: The culture.
Cons: Things can take awhile, we are not that agile.
Abbvie is OK.
Research Scientist in Boston:
Pros: Job is stable and Worcester is a convenient location.
Cons: Advancement is extremely difficult and raises are not good.
Alrite.
Manufacturing Technician in Westport:
Pros: People and the site great, pay and benefits could be better to reflect current cost of living.
Cons: Incentives/rewards given to employees for doing a good job, are non existent or are few and far between compared to other companys
Abbvie is great if you are looking for experience. They offer great opportunities to learn and grow but you will not be compensated well for the amount of work done.
Chemist in North Chicago:
Pros: Flexible Schedule
Cons: Poor work/life balance
Senior Data Scientist in Chicago:
Pros: Flexibility, work-life balance, and learning opportunities
Cons: Lack of agility, large bureaucracy. Their excellent employee culture (which I like and appreciate) results in some low performers that are difficult to work with (difficult to fire poorly performing employees)
Research Associate (Unspecified Type):
If you're junior, it's extremely bureaucratic and you get little to no stock benefits. Health insurance good, but leadership doesn't care about you. Hard to get a raise despite merit. You get more perks in Chicago, but the California site has favoritism for low performers. You feel like you aren't doing enough because those who receive praise are the low performers. They are a super stingy company and remote option is limited compared to other competitions.
