Busy demanding at times really exciting.
Registered Nurse (RN) in Nottingham:
Pros: It’s a large trauma hospital with acute patients, varied interesting specialities. It’s only 15 min drive from home.
Cons: The jobs is poorly paid compared with private employers and Compared to other countries. There is no variation or flexibility for shifts it’s 12hour shifts day or night, could be working 3 weekends on the trot. The trust expect us to be flexible yet aren’t flexible in return. To get a decent pay check you need to be working weekends and nights all month. No work/life balance. Has a gym on site but only open 8-5 which is unsuitable for majority of employees who work 7-7:30. Have to pay for parking and there aren’t enough permits for staff, they don’t priorities shift workers with parking permits either
