Ecs Limited Reviews

What is it like working at Ecs Limited?

It's Decent.
Construction Materials Tester in Raleigh:
Pros: My coworkers are all very nice and helpful
Cons: We have to use our personal cars and some project managers aren't great about communication
Paid less than newer employees, but supervisors make an effort to take care of their own employees at thier offices.
Field Engineer in Waukesha:
Pros: I get to learn new techniques, although they are often self-taught. Supervisors try their best to help out with the questions you have in the field. Schedules are made to best distribute the work during slow weeks.
Cons: I have been left in situations where I cannot confidently give a contractor information they seek while in the field. I have been overwhelmed by the amount of work I am expected to do in and out of the field while understaffed. My pay is now less than those who were hired after myself. My pay has not risen even though my office heavily requires my background in lab work and would not be able to get proctors, soil gradations, and other geotechnical lab procedures done. I am also one of the few who understand soil classification.
Too much work, too few people.
Field Engineer in Waukesha:
Pros: Supervisors are great.
Cons: Never seem to have enough experienced people to cover jobs. Do not get enough experience to confidently do the jobs.
