Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) Reviews
What is it like working at Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES)?
Employer will not allow employees to reach their Full potential.
Support Technician, Information Technology (IT) in Grand Prairie:
Pros: I get to help so many people, and support and fix all of their pc’s.
Cons: Management does care about its senior employees.
Hold Employees back from Expressing their full potential.
Support Technician, Information Technology (IT) in Grand Prairie:
Pros: I enjoyed helping/ supporting everyone I can, so they can do their job and keep their pc working at optimal levels.
Cons: Management does not care about its senior employees, who only want to do their best and be the best, at what we do with helping everyone.
The company itself has a great vision and mission. However, the pay is terrible compared to other companies. The benefits are the only reason it's worth the hassle and disrespect upper management shows our contributions to their store.
Sales Associate in Tampa:
Pros: I enjoy my field which is based around electronics, however, I believe I'm underappreciated.
Cons: Horrible scheduling and management reserves things for "friends" and co-workers without giving proper details to their associates.
Most Management is incompetent, rude, toxic and lies to customers and employees..
Food Service Worker in Colorado Springs:
Pros: Some good people, get to help people.
Cons: You will never get a raise. Managers care more about their bonuses than employees. They break labor laws (paid breaks) and really push the limits of part time/intermittent employees. Nearly full hours with no benefits. They also are short staffed for anyone who does any actual labor due to people leaving from the aforementioned, forcing anyone who isn't a supervisor to do the job of at least 2 people to compensate.
Good place to work.
Food Service Worker in Fort Walton Beach:
Pros: Benefits are awesome. Only employer that’ll give you full time benefits for a part time job.
Cons: Drama. Management feeds directly into it
It has it's ups and downs like any job.
Food Service Worker in Hurlburt Field:
Pros: The flexibility. AAFES really does try to work with your schedule, but this could be on a base-by-base basis.
Cons: The environment at times. My coworkers can be cliquey at times, and this can make me unmotivated.
Restaurant Assistant Manager in Cabot:
Pros: The opportunity to work with diverse group of employees while working overseas. At first feeling as though I was making a difference in someone life.
Cons: Employees appreciation has changed in the last 10 years where many do not feel appreciated. Daily having to accomplish more with less employees as down sizing has occurred.
