Euromonitor Reviews

What is it like working at Euromonitor?

Invest in proper research and data quality.
Market Research Analyst in Vilnius:
Pros: Good exposure to clients who are often top companies in their respective industry. Mainly FMCG, retailing and consultancy. I like to work with numbers and the product which is why I joined the company in the first place.
Cons: Overburdened research department = low research quality. I do not understand the management decisions. They want high quality research at increasingly tighter deadlines but at the same time they cut costs in research by hiring fresh graduates and freelancers. This is the most ridiculous aspect of the business: The content of the core product - Passport - is outsourced to freelancers and inexperienced junior analysts. Do you understand that? Outsourcing (because that's what it is) your core product to freelancers! Next thing you know they'll hire a freelancer to run the company. The company is squandering experienced analysts by reducing their time spent on actual research & analysis. Instead they send them to conferences, making them do administrative work and commissioning the aforementioned "highly-skilled" freelancers. Now they want them to engage clients to increase dropping subscription renewals - don't expect commission for a client re-subscription though. The position of a senior analyst is a convoluted set of tasks where the denomination of "analyst" does not really make sense anymore. Clients query market research data yet no investments are dedicated to data origination, data quality or data manipulation techniques. Business intelligence tools? Forget about it (We have Tableau but nobody bothers to utilize it properly). Advanced statistical modelling? Forget about it. OLAP? You ask people and they don't even know what it is.
