Starbucks Corporation Reviews
What is it like working at Starbucks Corporation?
It's very stressful, between customers, demand and lack of support.
Barista in Copperas Cove:
Pros: I love that I am able to have a shift that doesn't conflict with my children. And having an opportunity to obtain my bachelor's degree.
Cons: The stress, the cuts in hours all the way down to a 12 hour week. And the seeming inability to become part of management, after working there for three years. Other one year partners are getting promoted before me. Although I have been told I am a fantastic worker
Being a barista is great but could be better.
Barista in Dallas:
Pros: I love the atmosphere of family that Starbucks is intentional about creating.
Cons: I don’t respect my the way management lets other coworkers off for stuff that I would be penalized for.
Days like this.
Retail Shift Supervisor in Houston:
Pros: I enjoy my coworker. At every Starbucks I have always enjoyed my coworker.
Cons: Sometimes there can be a lack of staff.
Average Experience.
Barista in Houston:
Pros: I get to meet new people and working with interesting Coworkers
Cons: I dislike how Management is now handled at my current location and it makes everyday a tiresome experience to do my job effectively
We have probably over a million customers a day & I feel good around the environment I work in.
Barista in New York:
Pros: The people
Cons: Standing
Great company.
Retail Store Manager in Ottawa:
Pros: This is a perfect company for ambitious, career minded individual to work their way up in.
Cons: As an external hire, there is resistance from colleagues and a definite preference for internal promotion.
Stressful, but fun if you're up for it.
Barista in Tucson:
Pros: I like the people I work with and serve.
Cons: I dislike the shift supervisors who can be a bit too controlling at times, even when I know what I'm doing
