First Group Reviews

What is it like working at First Group?

There is a lot of pressure and you need to have a strong working strategy, you also need to know how to multitask.
Dispatcher (but not Police, Fire, or Ambulance) in Sandton:
Pros: Helping clients
Cons: Their salary
It's Awesome lot;s of exciting interactions.
Customer Service Trainer, Call Center in Durban:
Pros: New venture and being part of most new developments for efficiency
Cons: Salary
QA.
Quality Assurance (QA) Associate in Johannesburg:
Pros: The fact that we are able to develop agents into becoming super agents and excel in their work is a blessing to see someone else grow.
Cons: Nothing as yet as we work as a unit in building each other
It was interesting.
Bookkeeper in KwaZulu Natal:
Pros: I liked that I was able to grow and actually learn how it was to learn from different types of people who had different backgrounds
Cons: I'd have to say the pay
Life on the Busses.
Bus Driver in Swansea:
Pros: I like the fact that I have contracted hours, the fact that I get free bus travel across the UK on multiple operators and discounted tickets on trains operated by First Group.
Cons: Sometimes management pressure me into driving potentially unsafe busses and do not put enough trust in my judgement.
People Mover (not shaker)
Bus Driver in Minneapolis:
Pros: Greeting people
Cons: Road conditions, construction issues - winter weather
Automotive Electrician in Gosport:
Pros: Getting to work on the latest emissions technology and a small amount of control of how I work.
Cons: The lack of training and preparation for new technology and poor communication at all levels. And constant cutting back to the point where what is trying to be saved doesn't exist.
