Amgen Corporation Reviews
What is it like working at Amgen Corporation?
Great company and great people.
Senior Business Systems Analyst in Thousand Oaks:
Pros: Colleagues, type of work, new technology options, involved in significant projects, make a difference for my clients, helping patients with quality of life, continuing to develop more opportunities for helping patients
Cons: Some discrepancies in type of work and associated pay, sometimes too many changes all at once
Mechanical Design Engineer in Cambridge:
Amgen values thier employees. Thier customers, and thier shareholders and is uniquely careful not to give any one of those groups an outsized priority. Top performing employees have ample opportunity to grow within the company and stability to plan out a path.
Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist in Thousand Oaks:
Management cares about corporate results not always about the sustainability of the processes. The 401k is amazing. The next gen workspace is crap and doesn’t form fit for ergonomics. They always plaster information to ensure you are ergonomically sitting well but when you jump from building to building and desk to desk it becomes an enormous hassle to move and maintain ergonomics.
Epidemiology Director in San Francisco:
Amgen is a center of excellence for epidemiology, but limited for career growth. Great for junior scientists, those newer to industry. Salaries and benefits are no longer competitive with industry, despite the internal messaging about it.
Fascinating.
Administrative Coordinator in Thousand Oaks:
Pros: Always something new to learn
Cons: Nothing
Great Company with Passionate Employees.
Senior Research Associate in Thousand Oaks:
Pros: I love the people I work with. They are happy to share what they are working on and explain their process. Most people are very laid back and easy to work with.
Cons: The temp I trained got hired on and is making more than me; yet, I am still given more responsibilities.
