Expedia, Inc. Reviews

What is it like working at Expedia, Inc.?

It's fun and challenging. I have learned a lot from them.
Customer Service Representative (CSR) in Quezon City:
Pros: It put me in a pressure to think critically in order to resolve an issue
Cons: None.
A complex work environment that has challenges but room for growth.
Corporate Paralegal in Seattle:
Pros: Working with people around the world
Cons: Too many hands in the pockets. Takes too long to make a decision.
Corporate Paralegal:
Decent enough work-life balance; people generally don't email on the weekends and are respectful of that. Healthy work environment. Recent internal company survey showed that there was an increase in the number of employees who don't believe they are fairly compensated. I would second that. While they start you off decently, it is difficult to increase by much thereafter even as you are tasked with more and more projects. Plus, you don't get any stock unless you are at a Director-Level.
Brilliant place to work.
Market Manager in Gurgaon:
Pros: The nurturing culture, top Leadership, benefits and learning
Cons: Growth in certain countries and some teams an be slow
Good WLB, though pay and COVID stability lacking.
Software Engineer in Seattle:
Pros: Smart people, solid WLB, pay is honestly quite good, despite folks constantly comparing their total compensation to Amazon.
Cons: High manager an TPM turnover post-pandemic, leading to a lack of continuity for many development teams as we struggle to adjust to ever changing reporting structures.
Senior Marketing Manager in Seattle:
Great, smart people but less-than-market base compensation. Travel benefits are minimal, yearly profit sharing controlled by your manager. Leaders need to work together instead of defending their territories. Pick a priority and stick with it.
Solid pay with work life balance.
Software Engineer in Seattle:
Pros: Great technologies with great people and solid compensation. Not cutthroat, and flexible for folks with families. Also not (despite what folks from Amazon would say) a destination for slackers, at least not in my org. Great benefits.
Cons: Pay is lower than other top tech companies in the area ( Amazon) though WLB is undoubtedly better.
