Wal-Mart Stores, Inc Reviews
What is it like working at Wal-Mart Stores, Inc?
Rewarding but stressful.
Pharmacy Manager:
Pros: Pay, benefits, company's commitment to customers and employees.
Cons: Not enough training on several tasks and projects assigned.
Time flies.
Sales Associate:
Pros: Many different things to do and learn. Easy to lose track of time. I want to do more work when my shift is over.Fun.
Cons: Lifting bulky items and a little sore feet .
Customer Service Supervisor:
Pros: I love the customers and associates and I love what I do. I fallow policy and the hours work with my kids schedule.
Cons: Customers yelling at you for stuff you cant control and never enough helpl.
A cruel world.
Assistant Store Manager:
Pros: I enjoy the diversity in the work place, with more then 260+ associates employed in the building, you come across some very awesome people.
Cons: Associates are treated like animals at some points by some managers and certain levels of business leaders, as if the person doesn't have a life and that you can treat them anyway you want because they need a paycheck.
When company programs are launched which feels like there's something new every month, people figure out that it doesn't work or cheat the system to never give it a chance to work. When the system doesn't work it takes usually a year or longer until a new system comes into place, but for the most part it always reverts back to the way it always was done.
Work Flexibility.
Sales Associate:
Pros: That everyone is friendly and helps you out if you need any; Has a great happy atmosphere; management is nice.
Cons: I don't get enough hours so it makes me not want to work hard as I'd like and need to; makes me not want to be dependable; I need to move around (I can't stay in one department or do the same things all the time)... I'd like it If you would also have a better chance to move up in the company (age doesn't matter!) Give us younger people a chance! :)
Assistant Store Manager:
Pros: Has good benefits and overall a friendly atmosphere.
Cons: Long hours and split days off. Very demanding gives you little time with your family. Have to work most weekends and most holidays.
It's rewarding besides the rate of pay.
Pharmacy Technician:
Pros: The customers, fast pace, the learning experience on a daily basis.
Cons: The rate of pay is the only concern.
