The World Bank Group Reviews
What is it like working at The World Bank Group?
Economic Development Specialist:
Work is technically demanding and very interesting. Bank teams are involved in solving problems across an array of sectors, from the macro-economy, to health, education, infrastructure, agriculture and many more. Serious attention to environmental and social impacts, governance and fiduciary issues. A couple of faults: too much bureaucracy and a mixed performance by Senior Management. As with so many other places, getting ahead is not about what you know, but whom you know. Thankfully, the work is fulfilling enough that one can work around so-so managers.
Competitive.
