Royal Bank of Scotland Reviews

What is it like working at Royal Bank of Scotland?

Doing good but would like to explore more.
Team Leader, IT in New Delhi:
Pros: Work culture
Cons: Ego involvement in seniors
Java Developer:
I worked for RBS as a contractor for 3 months. The Edinburgh Gogarburn office is really big and work atmosphere is good. A nice opportunity for a developer to gain a domain knowledge as well as learn new tech stack. Some of the tech stack - Java 8, SpringBoot, Spring Cloud, Spring Batch, React js, Splunk etc.
Great.
Communications Manager in Edinburgh:
Pros: Team
Cons: Lack of parity with peers
Very good exposure in Banking and Finance sector.
Software Engineer:
Pros: Good thing is the open and flexible work culture. Exposure to fantastic work life balance.
Cons: Major drawback in personal terms is so long commuting time.
Flexible work environment, interesting work.
Business Analyst, IT:
Pros: Opportunity to be involved in controlling and influencing how the bank operates.
Cons: Due to public ownership the organisation has become a political plaything. Some decisions are no longer based on business considerations only.
