Milliman, Incorporated Reviews

What is it like working at Milliman, Incorporated?

Learn and Earn Together.
Actuarial Analyst in Gurgaon:
Pros: Team is very flexible no such timings to do work, leaves are easily available and a lot of focus on learning.
Cons: A lot of work, the team is not well structured.
Great place to work, open ended.
Software Developer in Milwaukee:
Pros: You are free to make your own choices, but you have a list of given priorities. Your path is your own, you are surrounded by intelligent people, and your bosses are supportive in your journey as a professional.
Cons: It's hard to say, I really love working here and have no intentions of going anywhere. If I had to pick, I'd say the 'flat' structure makes it confusing on 'who is in charge' beyond the obvious. This can make certain projects, asking for advice on important decisions, confusing when you get conflicting answers.
Supported morally but not intellectually.
Data Scientist in Seattle:
Pros: I am trusted to do my job, and given latitude to do my job.
Cons: While I get moral support, it often feels like I'm on an island in that there are few data scientists around.
High stress, but interesting and engaging.
Actuarial Analyst in New York:
Pros: Independent work process
Cons: Long hours, unexpected high stress moments
Challenging in that HR/PR is overhead so the owners dislike giving us a budget to do our jobs effectively.
Payroll Manager in Seattle:
Pros: flexible, challenging, close to transportation, respect from direct supervisor
Cons: Showing our equity owners why we need the tools to do our jobs and how that will help them manage their people better.
