Google, Inc. Reviews
What is it like working at Google, Inc.?
Senior User Experience Designer in New York:
Pros: The recognition of working for Google
Cons: workplace politics; lack of trust as a contractor; my direct team is a "boys club" and they constantly undermine my expertise, ideas and contributions; direct management attempts to discourage cross-collaboration and access to key project stakeholders which leaves me not involved or able to collaborate effectively in the way my role should work.
Work doesn't feel like "work"
Senior Software Engineer in Montréal:
Pros: Working at Google means that you're constantly learning and being challenged every day.
Cons: Finding obscure errors in computer programs
Systems Administrator in San Jose:
Get to work on great things and see those on the news. Get to work with the smarted people. Great benefits and comp package, this is a dream job. I will hopefully work here forever, I guess there are a few minor nits I don’t care for but that is any job,
Not for everyone.
Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) in Dublin:
Pros: Infinite scale
Cons: Propriety technologies only, fish-out-of-water for several months when starting (and probably leaving)
Full of money.
Chairman, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and President in Auckland:
Pros: i can execute people if i don't
like them
Cons: they only have ready salted crisps in the snack bar.
Good atmosphere to work it is not that stressful but after taking break makes mind fresh & ready to work again, I enjoy working here.
Senior Web Developer in Jaipur:
Pros: Free stuff
Cons: Long hours of working
It depends who is you manager, It can be really great. But it can be really traumatic. I experienced both, The problem is that TVC do not have a platform they can file a concern/complaint as FTE do.
User Experience Research Assistant in Mountain View:
Pros: doing interviews with our users
