Starbucks Corporation Reviews
What is it like working at Starbucks Corporation?
Always Moving, Always Growing.
Team Leader, General in Indianapolis:
Pros: When appreciated to the full by management, the Starbucks mission allows for great growth opportunities. It is an excellent first job and the leadership model truly empowers each partner on a basis of evaluating and growing individual strengths. The company embraces individuality.
Cons: The environment is heavily dependent on the management. A store will run well or run poorly and partners will feel valued or undervalued bases on priorities of the store manager. Because management are the only salaried positions and capable of bonus depending on the success of the store, some managers can put their own desire for bonus over their partners, even though the Starbucks mission is to put partners first.
Starbucks baristas are expected to be perfect 100% of the time.
Barista in Belmar:
Pros: I like being able to interact with the customers, being able to bring a smile to someone’s face, make them forget about their lives for a second.
Cons: I think that shift supervisors are chosen by popularity opposed to ability I think some people get preferential treatment. I think that hard work and dedication are overlooked
Barista life.
Barista in Pensacola:
Pros: The smells when I walk in.
Cons: The totally irresponsible choices the company has made in regards to its wages which has been covered up by useless benefits aimed to aid the partners who work there but really don’t effectively help many people when a dollar or 2 more would solve so many of my coworkers life struggles. It’s sickening and they pretend like they care for the partners but they only continue to add responsibilities and refuse to work with us on wages despite the impoverished lifestyles of at least half the staff. Absurd.
It's really fun but I should be paid more.
Operations Supervisor in Littleton:
Pros: Interacting and leading co-workers and customers.
Cons: The amount of stress can be overwhelming and must be overcome some how if you are going to be successful.
Business Analysis Manager in Seattle:
Not my favorite place to work. There's a huge lack of organization, too many management levels, and no clear goals or incentives. I plan to leave soon. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who enjoys a face-paced, organized, team oriented environment.
Some days are easier than others.
Crew Leader in New Albany:
Pros: The hands on training with fellow employees and the regular customers.
Cons: Pay, don’t feel like an important part, feel replaceable at any given moment
Inspiring, inclusive & transparent.
Retail Store Manager in Houston:
Pros: Freedom to try new things to benefit the business.
Cons: Demand of store managers can sometime interfere with work/life balance.
