Tesco PLC Reviews

What is it like working at Tesco PLC?

Ok once the training was given to me.
Bakery Manager:
Pros: There seems to be a structure to each day.Which gives you stand out targets to strive for.
Cons: Make sure you get enough training before you start you role as there is a lot to learn going into a new company.
You Get To Meet Lots Of Different People So It's Good.
Checkout Operator:
Pros: Being surrounded with all types of different people.
Cons: Sometimes people (managers) think they can walk all over you.
No Flexible Work For Night Managers, Working 12-14 Hours A Day.
Retail Manager:
Pros: I enjoy management and work well with the staff on my shift.
Cons: The work to life ratio is work and no life. You are expected to work at least 1-2 hours after your shift and start 1 hour before it so an extra 3 hours a day. This results in your working week is work and sleep. You're lucky if you can manage time for 6-8 hours a day. This then tends to lead to exhaustion so you sleep most of your days off. No time for life.
