J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. (JPMCC) Reviews
What is it like working at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. (JPMCC)?
Good pay and environment.
Software Engineer in Columbus:
Pros: Good pay and understanding workplace
Cons: My direct boss is a bit inexperienced at managing
Great experience in learning the ins and out of banking.
Bank Teller in Naples:
Pros: My most likable think about my job is the knowledge I have gained about finance since working for J.P. Morgan Chase. I also really like that I’ve been given opportunities to work my way up and still have flexibility.
Cons: This job requires you to do your research and do your training on the procedures and guidelines for how to conduct you job and handle complaints on the retail side of banking. That being said, you must be comfortable with trying your up most to not get frustrated when trying to help customers when you don’t have the answer and a customer is starting to get frustrated with you. Many of these small issues -not concerning legal actions against you or the company- can be handled in the store with the right verbiage and don’t be afraid to ask another team members to get involved if you are unsure, this has always been highly advised in my role.
Great culture and feel being supportive.
Loan Processor in Rocky River:
Pros: working while learning, and growing fast
Cons: seems unnecessary procedures
2 years at JPMC.
Software Engineer in Mumbai:
Pros: Benifits and job security
Cons: bureaucracy, favoritism ,lack of acceptance and inclusion towards new employees, it happens in few teams only though
Vice President (VP), Product Management:
Work initiatives are challenging and people are very competitive and can be arrogant. You can feel like just an employee in certain fields or parts of the bank. You need to make sure you have good management that focuses on the individual and their growth. Most people leave due to lack of feeling heard or having a voice. In addition, due to bureaucracy. There are strong opinions that HR protects the company not the employee, therefore, leaving no outlet.
People initiatives to improve pay disparity or diversity are showcased through new hires and not existing employees. There needs to be a greater focus on adjusting personnel in-house. Junior employees can earn a greater salary than someone with 10 years. JPMorgan focuses on total comp which there should be a Pay scale for different titles, to ensure lower levels do not make more than senior leaders in good standing.
Professionals stay away.
Financial Advisor in Seattle:
Pros: They pay pretty well
Cons: I hate myself and everyone I work with. I am no longer a professional. I am paid to drink and sell JPM’s KoolAid
Best job I could ever have.
Financial Analyst in Fort Worth:
Pros: I get my own space to work, everyone and the managers are friendly.
Cons: Being over stressed sometimes.
