Technical Specialist:
Pros: Being able to learn new systems and devices on a regular basis. Programming. Networking (computer). Security.
Cons: Interaction with sales team. Lack of direction. Impossible deadlines. Lack of any other technology savvy people in my company. Lack of adequate resources (computers for programming, work stations for mock-ups of systems, etc). Lack of a service department, most of the time the job falls on me. Being the only person who knows how to use Microsoft Office. Having to put together pricing sheets for bids.
