September 2019
Challenging and Varying.
Systems Engineer, IT in Vienna:
Pros: The possibility to travel anywhere and even establish permanent resistence in other countries. The colleagues are the best thing
Cons: Practically one has to know how to do the job of other roles, not defined in contract or function profile. Underpaid for the amount of responsibility one is expected to take. All-in does not really work because you cannot take days off, even after long and intense project phases. One works in several projects at once, which can affect the quality of work. Constantly feeling stressed about deadlines and kind of left behind
September 2019
Systems Engineer, IT in Milwaukee:
Don’t expect a pay raise each year if at all. A very racially explosive environment promoted by the higher up politicians. No room for advancement. A great place though to get some experience and then move on to a better opportunity.
