Love the Mountains Hate the Pollution.

Pros: Being so close to the mountains. They are within 10 miles and when I look out my 6th floor window its so close sometimes it feels like I could reach out and touch them.
Cons: The air quality on most days during the winter and summer. Winter inversion traps the commuter pollution in the valley and summer smog mixed with gravel pit dust is equally gross and harmful to your lungs. It also ruins the views. That being said, the clear days after some wind has blown it all away are amazing.
