January 2019
Retention Specialist:
Low pay doesn't attract high-quality people in management which leads to poorly skilled managers who they themselves quit after short terms to pursue jobs elsewhere. The company cares more about the bottom line than serving customers which leads to major churn. The poor build quality of product and services causes severe downtime for both customers and frontline workers which leads to things like high employee turnover. Lack of promotional opportunities decreases employee morale. Essentially the company betrays the knowledge found in studies like Human Resources Management, Labor Economics, and basic Customer Service training for reasons unknown. The company wants hyper-growth but does nothing to improve to stay competitative.
