Retail Store Manager Reviews

What is it like working as a Retail Store Manager?

December 2021
Is an excited and rewarding career.
Retail Store Manager in Conway:
Pros: Customer interaction, employee engagement. Making a diffrence in others by creating and retaining trust acroos the board(customers, employees, vendors and the company).
Cons: my drive to work which is 1.5 hours one way everyday.
December 2021
Managing a store is what you make of it.
Retail Store Manager in San Antonio:
Pros: I like the autonomy that I am given to run my store the way that I want.
Cons: I dislike the lack of proper, direct, and useful information that is given to us. We rely on information that given to us, to operate the store based on changes in our demographic. Infrequently we are given updates through an archaic system messaging client, and at the eleventh hour.
December 2021
Touristy, Nature-centered, Expensive.
Retail Store Manager in Boulder:
Pros: Access to the outdoors, small-town feel, generally nice people
Cons: The need to commute to work because housing is too expensive, traffic and over-populated, can't enjoy the outdoors due to work expectations
December 2021
It definitely has its ups and downs. Very demanding.
Retail Store Manager in Greenville:
Pros: The opportunity to teach and train others
Cons: Work/life balance is the biggest opportunity within the company
December 2021
Good place to start a managing carrer. The employer hired me even without extensive managing background.
Retail Store Manager in Constanta:
Pros: I am fairly independent in the actions I take for my store. I get to choose my employees and how I interact with them. I don't have to do too much reporting to my DM, because I am trusted with the job that I have to do
Cons: The pressure to drive in sales even when it is out of mine and my employees hands. Some periods are simply bad in terms of sales and we do not get a lot of lenience on that. I also dislike not having a helping hand, such as an assistant store manager to help with certain chores when I am not physically at work.
November 2021
Warm and exciting.
Retail Store Manager in Byron Bay:
Pros: The connection you make with the poeple in the area
Cons: Seasonal, very slow in winter and very very busy in summer
November 2021
Treated like you don't have a brain and that you are worthless and replaceable.
Retail Store Manager in Wellington:
Pros: Nothing
Cons: I'm treated like an idiot by the hirachy
