Do you proper research about the company before joining, some companies look good on the outside. Take time to read your contract (Terms and Conditions) Negotiate well with the company etc.

Pros: You get to try your own methods in closing the sale.
Cons: It's a position of no power and sometimes can be stressful.

Recruitment Consultant:
Pros: Finding talents for niche hi-tech start ups is very challenging and highly rewarding experience. You can network with some of the best minds in the industry. The amount of valuable market intelligence I could generate in my routine work is great.
Cons: Uncertainties, the business is too dynamic. Being a failure is common, but success is a rare phenomenon. Commission is not great.
