Receptionist Reviews
What is it like working as a Receptionist?
January 2015
Boring.
Receptionist:
Pros: I like talking to new people all the time, the owners are very lenient at times and I can dress casually.
Cons: We sit around for hours waiting for clients to come in, we sit and do nothing and that irritates me. I have no contract, no UIF, no pay slips.

Corporate Culture.
Receptionist:
Pros: Office conditions.
Cons: No room for advancement.

Receptionist:
Cons: My manager is unfair and spreads rumours about me, she makes me uncomfortable and lies to her manager about my work ethic and things that are mentioned in meetings.

Office condtions.
Receptionist:
Pros: I like the relaxed environment and the owners are nice people. I love that I don't have to dress up and I can wear jeans but still wear a nice top and that is ok.
Cons: I have to look busy all the time even when its slow.

Cons: Getting a new job discription everyday.
Hard work no pay.
December 2014
Fast paced.
Receptionist:
Pros: Good hours.
Cons: Lots of leaning.
December 2014
A day at the Office.
Receptionist:
Pros: I like the challenge of something different, usually there is something new that arises and my skills need to be renewed in some aspect. Great secure work environment and fantastic boss. Pleasant work environment, never had a problem. Flexible hours. My phone is also the work phone so my employer does pay for the expenses.
Cons: It can be very stressful, sometimes working very late. My position has three positions included into one, so the work load is large.
My role can be very demanding and having clients call at anytime can be rather annoying. My work never seems to stay at the office so to speak, I am always thinking of things I need to do, people to call etc. The patients in this particular area are very pushy and some really don't seem to appreciate how much I go out of my way to help with anything they ask, usually not part of my job description either. I do know that I go out of my way to help and offer to come in on my day off, so I assume I don't like to say 'no'
