Never Stop Learning.
Project Manager, Information Technology (IT):
Ask yourself if you really want to be a PM, and if you do start reading about project management. Get a mentor who is already performing a project management role, and preferably someone who is PMP or Prince certified. As a starter, volunteer by asking your boss if you can handle small projects within the team. Apply what you have learned initially in your PM readings and constantly ask for guidance from your mentor. Build up your PM hours and then get started in earning your own PMP or Prince certification.
