October 2014
It's A Direct Communication Between Business And Referrals.
Marketing Communications Manager:
Pros: Everything, love that I work in the field so I can directly effect outcomes but I am critical in this piece of the business as well.
Cons: Being pulled too many ways constantly, coordination of efforts and ideas. Lack of organization is challenging.
August 2014
Extreme Boredom Highlighted By Extremely Intense Days.
Marketing Communications Manager:
Pros: I like that its a small company and that I know everyone and there's not a lot of corporate bureaucracy. I like that we have casual attire and have half days on Friday. I like that I get to travel on the company dime and I get to spend sometime away from my desk.
Cons: I don't like that I'm the only person in my department. I don't like that my boss is a horrible micro manager sometimes and other times could careless. I don't like that I'm put in awkward situations between what the CEO is telling me to do and what I know we should, he's a part owner of the company. I don't like that I'm required to set up displays at conferences when no one else that actually works the show has to do that.
August 2014
Winging It.
Marketing Communications Manager:
I would advise taking a chance with every job opportunity, what you think is out of your league is not. Take a chance and wing it, just make sure you are true to your word and deliver on your promises. Never over promise and under deliver. Sign your work with integrity!!
