Human Resources (HR) Manager Reviews
What is it like working as a Human Resources (HR) Manager?
November 2015
Human Resource Manager - responsibility & no authority.
Human Resources (HR) Manager:
People will always disappoint you. Only accept the responsibility of being the Human Resource Manager if the company also provides you with the authority to do your job correctly, otherwise you position is a 'joke' of the organization.

Hear the whole story without interuotio.
Human Resources (HR) Manager:
Continue to address issues case by case and stay on top of best practices and current and relevant public policies or company rules.

Take things less personally and more professionally.
Human Resources (HR) Manager:
Everyone has a story and they see you, as an HR person, through that lense. That lense is muted with the employee's life experiences, good or bad, and they project that on to you. In my experience most people are reasonable people and therefore can be reasoned with. It is the odd or unusual scenario when people are less reasonable, and you should not take what they think about you or the business too personally. Their opinion counts, but it should not count any more than any other employee opinion. It should also not distort your view of humanity or your company. If those people really are not a good fit for the company, you should find a way to part ways, rather than expend too much precious time to try and make them happy, when what you do may make no actual difference in their happiness (on or off the job).

My Life as an HR.
Human Resources (HR) Manager:
Always be prepared for new challenges that arise, and come to work with an open mind. Leave the outside world worries behind you when you walk in to your companies doors and take all the knowledge with you in.
You learn everyday something new , life is full of surprises and their is room for new things to learn, everyone is not the same, so don't treat all the employees the same....
Good Luck:)
