Love Job/ Dislike Boss.
Human Resources (HR) Generalist:
Pros: I love the feeling of helping employees. Motivating people to do a good job and rewarding them. I have built relationships with respect and trust which allows me to identify problems and try to find solutions. I continually attempt to make a positive work place by employee of the month, recognizing staff for ideas or taking extra steps. Consulting management by using the employees views on specific issues.
Cons: My boss.

My tasks have varied greatly and still include being the point person for the IT contractors and liaison to the Board of Directors. If I could focus simply on HR, I could make a huge difference here.

Many people working in Administrative roles have the educational background but most like practical skills and abilities to perform the job on a daily basis. My advice is to practice data entry skills, typing skills and multitasking duties that will increase your ability to work independently.
