Human Resources (HR) Generalist:
Pros: I love the feeling of helping employees. Motivating people to do a good job and rewarding them.
I have built relationships with respect and trust which allows me to identify problems and try to find solutions.
I continually attempt to make a positive work place by employee of the month, recognizing staff for ideas or taking extra steps.
Consulting management by using the employees views on specific issues.

My tasks have varied greatly and still include being the point person for the IT contractors and liaison to the Board of Directors. If I could focus simply on HR, I could make a huge difference here.

Many people working in Administrative roles have the educational background but most like practical skills and abilities to perform the job on a daily basis. My advice is to practice data entry skills, typing skills and multitasking duties that will increase your ability to work independently.
