Early Childhood Educator (ECE):
Pros: The best part about being an ECE is working with children and their families. Seeing their faces so happy to see you each day, and getting to know their family is an amazing feeling and it's great knowing you're making a difference in the children's lives.

It's harder than it looks.
Early Childhood Educator (ECE):
Anyone interested in educating young children must keep in mind that teaching requires many skills--patience, understanding, ability to practice positive discipline. It takes more than just knowing your subject matter. It is important to understand children and their respective environments, both in school and at home. You must realize that you don't only have to teach 'subjects', you have to educate children...and sometimes even families. It can be extra challenging in this age of test taking, but it is equally important to focus on the process. It is the best way to at least attempt to meet each individual child's needs. We must learn to teach for understanding, not for test-taking.
