Perspective.
Director of Operations in San Francisco:
Pros: I have to say that the weather is one of my favorite parts about working in San Francisco given that my business is primarily outside and relies on good weather to operate. As a close second, interacting with the very diverse people that inhabit San Francisco is always such a joy, not to mention the tourists and international individuals who come to enjoy San Francisco. I love interacting with people from all over the world and sharing stories and gaining perspective on the different lives that I am constantly surrounded by. The city culture is something that definitely stands out to me and always keeps me interested, entertained and infatuated.
Cons: The homelessness population is uncomfortable, mostly because I have to deal with them when they interact poorly with my customers. It's definitely a little crowded now too, especially the downtown area, the traffic is horrible and unfortunately it seems as though most drivers are out for their own interests and do not pay close enough attention to their surroundings which is unsettling as there are so many pedestrians. I also strongly dislike the amount of technology that seems to have sucked everyone into their phones constantly, heads down, unaware and oblivious, it is most frustrating. On the other hand, that is why business is booming for me, so I cannot complain too much.
