If You're Good, You'll Do Great.
Diesel Technician:
Most mechanics don't choose the job, it chooses them. They do it because it's the one thing they're really good at. I'm good at a great many things, and turning wrenches isn't one of them. I wanted to learn, and I've learned a lot, but it's not a skill that's easy to teach late in life. Even though I haven't gotten really, really good at the skills, I've done well for myself. Come to work every day, on time, no matter what, and have a good attitude. Be ready to learn, because the field is always changing. Acquire some knowledge and experience in a lot of areas, and a lot of knowledge and experience in one or two areas--it'll make you indispensable.
