Retail Store Assistant Manager:
Pros: I enjoy helping people put together the perfect outfit. I love my 50% discount at all the stores. The people I work with, it has been more like a family unit.
Cons: I used to be very proud to work for this company, what it stood for, being a family oriented company. It seemed like I had so many opportunities, and had a future and goals to achieve. I started as a part time sales associate and worked my way up. Now I feel like there are no longer an opportunities. A constant set up for failure. Going there makes me feel ill and when I leave work I am depressed. Sales have dropped drastically and they make it seem like it's our fault. The product has been repetitive and boring or outrageous and awful. Prices have gone up. It's hard to believe in a company that does not believe in you. Will toss you like trash. I put in time that they do not deserve, missed important family events because my schedule was not flexible. Under paid because I worked my way up from the bottom. I have turned down other opportunities thinking this will pay off, it's a good company. I can hardly afford to live! And they want me to wear the product I cannot afford.
