Panera Bread Company Reviews
What is it like working at Panera Bread Company?
No stress, but same thing every day.
Prep Cook in Columbus:
Pros: Some co workers
Cons: Some co workers, favoritism to certain employees
Stressful and Under-resourced.
Assistant Manager, Fast Food in Lynnwood:
Pros: Free meals
Cons: Long hours, difficult customers and employees, under-staffed, under-paid
You do all the work while people watch and you get paid little to nothing.
Restaurant Assistant Manager in Union:
Pros: The hours
Cons: They don’t give raises
More challenging but just as rewarding.
Team Leader, General in Sioux Falls:
Pros: I get along with my co-workers extremely well. We are like family.
Cons: The pay, lack of consequences and communication
I value my worth higher than my pay.
Baker in Charleston:
Pros: Schedule and planning of work day is one that is easy to follow and understand
Cons: Haven't had a 6 month or yearly review
Covid did some damage.
Restaurant Assistant Manager in Springfield:
Pros: I love seeing how much people love our food. It’s pretty easy to please most people. Culture is good most of the time. Good training, standards, leadership. Not greasy.
Cons: My franchise handled covid very poorly. Our “Salary” was based on a 47.5 hour work week. So we were actually hourly. First thing they did when covid hit was say “no overtime” and “no sick, personal, or vacation days”. It is now the end of July and they have still not reinstated our sick leave or our full overtime. I’ve loved working for this company. But with a mortgage and a family it’s no longer financially viable.
Retail Shift Supervisor in Greenville:
Pros: interacting with customers and providing delicious food
Cons: Too many corporate rules that don’t always work correctly
