Goodwill Industries Reviews
What is it like working at Goodwill Industries?
Understaffed and under appreciated.
Information Technology Specialist in Little Rock:
Pros: Laid back. Minimal supervision. Get to tinker with lots of electronics and computer equipment if time permits.
Cons: No direction. Lack of documentation or transparency from upper management. No clear definition or description of how company operates or what the many departments actually do.
Being a Career Specialist is a very rewarding job.
Career Specialist, Workforce Training in Kent:
Pros: I like teaching youth life skills, things they need to know when transitioning from high school into the work/post secondary setting.
Cons: I feel like I have an overwhelming case load at times.
Overworked and underpaid. Luckily I love the kids and elders. Good Will to All💕
Head Cashier in Toledo:
Pros: I had been out of the work force for several years. I was a caregiver to my Mom. Getting back to work has been a God sent. I appreciate the job. Although the pay is minimal. I am grateful to have a reason to get up and get ready. I love being around people and it’s also nice to have an income.
Cons: The hours stink. I don’t think the shopping policy is fair. There is no training or comradely. I don’t see any “Good Will” happening. This little survey is not so little and I wonder will anyone even care.
Retail Store Assistant Manager in Hackensack:
It was a great job, but they cater way too much to resellers instead of the less fortunate. In Paramus, NJ, they let go of all of the special needs people b/c they weren't "producing enough", I.e., not making them enough money. The mission doesn't exist anymore, and it's just an avenue for resellers to find cheap stuff. It should be for poor people! Stop raising prices!
Program Coordinator, Non-Profit Organization in London:
Pros: The interactions with persons I serve as well as knowing that what I do makes a difference to them. Working with my team of loyal volunteers .
Cons: The lack of support from upper management and directors for the program.
Good first job.
Cashier in Skokie:
Pros: Breaks every two hours (working 4 hours or more)
Cons: Pay gap between retail employees and corporate executives
It's Okay.
Systems Administrator in Washington:
Pros: The PTO, the openness of my CEO and IT Director
Cons: not fully being appreciated, or being shown that i am valued for a position i applied for and given reason why i wasn't given that opportunity
